Yesterday was quite interesting. Halfway through the last show of the day, there was a loud BOOM. All my screens in what we affectionately refer to as the 'jungle computer lab' went black. We looked across the river, I guess I didn't mention that we are sitting in a dry river bed 400 feet across the river from the main camp connected by a fiber optic umbilical, and saw a very large cloud of white smoke rising high into the forest canopy from one of our generator sites. Thankfully, for us, we were not damaged and a reboot was all it took to bring the system back on line. Last night Tom Miller, our resident cave guy took a number of us back to the Blue Creek Cave to explore a passage fairly deep inside the cave. I have to admit that my first thought was to ask "why go into the cave at night? Wouldn't we see more in the daytime?" Thankfully, I had the good sense not to ask that question.
