Marsokhod Rover Journal
One of the key telepresence components of JASON VI will be the
Marsokhod,
a remotely operated rover, which will be connected to the EDS
Communications Center with fiber optic cable. The teleoperated rover, which
has been designed by NASA and
McDonnell Douglas Aerospace for potential exploration on the moon and Mars,
will be remotely controlled by students from PINS through EDS-managed networks.
Status reports and images of the Marsokhod are available directly from either
NASA or
McDonnell Douglas (no longer available). In addition, we will post reports and images below.
