A day in the life of an argo:
We wake up at about 2:00 a.m. Yes that's right in the morning. It's dark, but the lava is really cool looking, because it's bright red. I got to scoop lava right from a flowing toe, as well as take the temperature of it.
We eat lunch anytime that we have a free moment. They supply us with snacks, and drinks. We are told to drink at least a gallon of water a day. It's a lot, but it is very worthwhile.
The lava is the best. To see it up close is very very cool. I love to see it flowing almost right at you. In some places it is so hot that it is almost unbearable. It is so nice, because even though it is hot, it is a very beautiful sight.
Well, more about another sight tomorrow.
