Spiders of the World

Conclusion

Although the data included some collection site bias and biases based on visibility, overall the data does follow the worldwide patterns expected. This investigation demonstrated worldwide distribution patterns of an organism, the spider which serves as a tool for many researchers like Dr. Rosemarie Gillespie who are interested in adaptation, speciation, and distribution patterns. "There is no thrill such as finding one of the last individuals of a species or better yet, a new species!"

I would like to thank the students and teachers who participated in this investigation, Dr. Rosemarie Gillespie, her family and collegues as well as Dr. Gene Feldman, Norman Kuring and Todd Viola for making this investigation such a learning experience for all involved.
