Susan Botts




Susan Botts is a sixth grade general science teacher and chair of the science department at Southwest Middle School in Orlando. Botts was awarded the Florida state level Presidential Award for Excellence in Secondary Science Teaching in 1993. This past year, she was awarded "Teacher of the Year" at Southwest Middle School. In 1992, she was selected to lead a science expedition to Australia with the People to People Youth Science Exchange. For three weeks, she served as a teacher, mom, friend and travel companion to a group of middle school students.
