Rebecca Carino
Rebecca Carino of Los Gatos, Calif., is a seventh and eighth grade science
teacher at Kennedy Junior High School in Cupertino, Calif.. Carino has
extensive experience developing student curriculum, including curriculum
designed for teacher workshops given at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San
Jose, Calif.. She received the Museum's "Educator of Distinction" award for
recognition of innovative leadership in teaching. Carino is the project
coordinator for her school's annual eighth grade week-long field science
course to Yosemite National Park, overseeing the project for 225 students.
When she's not teaching or taking field trips, Carino likes to spend her
time outdoors cross-country skiing.
