Here is the most recent image of Io taken at the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility on Mauna Kea. You may click on the image to view a larger version so that you can compare it with the images below.

Note: the real-time imagery used in this exercise will not be available until the expedition begins in late February. In the meantime, representative images are being used.

Below are displayed ithe simulated images of Io based on data taken by the Voyager spacecraft and taken at every 10 degrees of rotation. You may click on any of the images to view a larger version.
