Laura Brandt

Host Researcher, Herpetology


Laura Brandt is a graduate research assistant at the University of Florida, Department of Wildlife and Range Sciences and Florida Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from Pennsylvania State University and her masters in biology from Florida International University in Miami. During Part I of JASON VII, Brandt worked with a team of Student and Teacher Argonauts to research the crocodile population in the Florida Everglades. She has been studying alligators and crocodiles for 13 years. She has participated in field research and training in Mexico, the West Indies, Florida and Virginia.
