Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs)


For JASON VII: Adapting to a Changing Sea, a Phantom S2 remotely operated vehicle provided by the National Undersea Research Center at University of Connecticut Avery Point Campus will be used.

During the JASON VI Expedition to Hawai`i, the Marsokhod, a remotely operated rover, designed by NASA and McDonnell Douglas Aerospace for potential exploration on the moon and Mars, was remotely controlled by students from PINS through EDS-managed networks.
