Jude Kesl
Jude Kesl of Milwaukee, Wis., teaches science to sixth, seventh and eighth
graders at Grand Avenue Middle School in Milwaukee. Besides serving as a
teacher and a JASON Project mentor teacher, Kesl also serves as a NASA
Aerospace Educational Liaison. She was named Discovery World Museum's
Science Teacher of the Year and awarded WEST Distinguished Science Teaching
Award, both for 1995. Kesl has participated in the JASON Project for four
years, serving as a mentor teacher. She has participated in exciting
activities, such as a dinosaur dig in South Dakota and parachuting and hot
air ballooning. Kesl became interested in science when she saved all her
money and bought her first purchase ever, a microscope.
