You may think the oceans have been completely mapped and the currets all explored, but that is not true! There is much, much more we don't know about the ocean than we do. That is why we are here at sea aboard the Bent.

In many ways, much more is known about the surface of the Moon than about the sea. In many parts of the world, especially in the southern hemisphere, the bottom of the sea has not been mapped at all and the deep currents and sealife are unknown.

This is important, because the thin layers we call oceans and atmosphere are interconnected all the way from the edge of space to the bottom of the deepest sea trench. We cannot understand the whole system called Earth without also understanding the sea from top to bottom. Link to (???) to find out more about the Earth's biosphere.
